I was born on September 3rd, 1957 and was raised in a Christian family. I trusted Christ as my Savior at the age of 12. God revealed His desire for me to be in the ministry at age 25. I obeyed His call and entered Bible College. It was also around this time I met my wife, Carol. We have been married since 1986 and have two daughters, Kerryn and Kia. Our family enjoys traveling, sports and reading. I especially enjoy reading and studying the Bible and stimulating conversation. |
Spiritual Gift
God blessed me with the gift of Pastor-Teacher. This gift motivates me to dig deep into the truths of God’s Word and find creative ways to communicate those precious pearls to believers. My desire is to create an atmosphere of love where believers can come and discover their calling in Christ and execute God’s purpose and plan for their lives.
Experience
Pastor – Word-is-Truth Christian Church, Plainfield, NJ, 2001 to present. Word-is-Truth began as a Bible study group in 1994. For seven years, a committed group of believers met weekly to focus on the Word of God. I personally led this group to found Word-is-Truth Christian Church in May 2001. I was ordained in August 2001, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Piscataway, NJ by Reverend Herbert Presley Jr., Bishop Marvin Gray and Pastor Michael Presley. With over 21 years of dedicated and intense study of the Word of God, theology and history, I have written over 70 articles and in depth documents on various subjects on Salvation and the Christian way of life. I founded Word-is-Truth internet group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Word-is-Truth/ in 1999, where some of these documents are posted. My focus is teaching the Word of God in a way believers can apply the word for themselves and grow up in their salvation. Over the past 19 years, I have submitted to the teachings of Lewis S. Chafer, Pastor R. B. Thieme Jr., Kenneth Wuest, and many others to enhance my understanding of theology and the original languages of scripture.

I have encountered the most unique spiritual experience through my Pastor over the last 12 years. This has come through the enrichment of our focus on the word of God. I believe that the true gospel of the bible, the world has not believed. This is why Jesus says that “few there be that find it” (Matt 7:14b). Through the Word-is-Truth ministry, I have been enlightened to the narrow way of which Jesus spoke. Come and join the path that leads to righteousness. Like so many others, I thought I knew the way, but I only knew the way that “seems right to man…” After coming to the knowledge of truth through the word, I have come to depend on the word of God now, more than on my feelings. I encourage you to spend some time with Word-is-Truth Christian Church.

I was born and raised in Newark NJ. At an early age, I always wanted to know who and what God was all about. I attended Jersey City State College and majored in music; I also have a Certificate from Cittone Institute in NJ. It wasn’t until later in life that I heard the true Gospel. I always thought I knew the true Gospel, but found that I was simply obeying my religious roots. Under the Word-is-Truth ministry, I learned to believe in what the Bible actually says concerning salvation. Prior to the Word-is-Truth Church, I attended Bible classes for 7 years with Pastor Presley. Every time I think about it, I must thank God for His marvelous providence.

Giving praise to the one and only God and thanking my Pastor and my brothers and sisters for being there for me. I remember the day I was introduced to a fantastic body of people, and it was that day I found that God’s word was really truth. I left that service knowing that Word-is-Truth is where I needed to be. I had a tough life and was told that there wasn’t any hope for me. Then, I met my new family and I’ve been on fire for Jesus ever since. I want to leave you with this one thing I have learned from the Word-is-Truth ministry, if it’s not in the Bible, it’s not so!
